Dear MIYJCC Community…

While grants and temporary layoffs help the immediate need, the long term need is far greater. In order to continue to provide programs and services to our community, we need your help more than ever.

We are dealing with unprecedented times in our community, country, and world, nothing like we have ever seen before. It’s hard to imagine that a short time ago, we were excitedly planning our Spring fundraising season including Ladies Night Out, the Howie Levy 5k, and our Annual Golf Outing, among others. These fundraisers are significant contributors to our operating budget –allowing us to have a sustainable, break-even budget.

Without a successful fundraising season, the continued operation of our life changing programs, including the virtual services we have been providing since this all began, are in jeopardy. On a daily basis, we are facing the reality of a very significant deficit. We are doing everything possible to keep our doors open (even virtually), but our cash flow position is currently stressed!

Stay well and be safe. Thank you for your support and consideration.

– David
“Gabriel and I very much enjoyed “Dancing with Melissa” and then the music class, too. He was smiling ear to ear. Keep them coming! “

“Thank you for all your hard work in offering these classes. Specifically Rabbi Bennet’s…she has kept [my child] engaged.”
– Rob
“Thank you for all your efforts during this time of uncertainty. This little bit of normalcy for [my son] goes a long way and my husband and I wanted you to know how appreciative we are. [My son] loved Show & Tell and the opportunity to see his friends.”
– Jessica
“Thank you so much for setting up these virtual connections. I am a nurse and work in a hospital and feel very stressed. I followed Todd, Joy, and Barbara’s Virtual Exercises and felt almost like I was back at the Y. Seeing a familiar face was comforting and it helped me greatly. “
