Shabbat Respite Care

 

Looking for a supportive and nurturing environment for your loved one who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease or another related illness? 

 

Our new comprehensive Shabbat Respite program meets every Wednesday and Friday from 10 am - 2 pm and provides socialization, memory/sensory training, modified exercise, art and music therapy, enhanced self-esteem, relief from boredom and loneliness, new interests and friends as well as much-needed caregiver respite.  Coffee, tea and a nutritious kosher lunch are provided.  Caregivers are invited to enjoy our swimming pool and health club facilities and participate in a caregiver support group.

CROSSING BORDERS

 

Crossing Borders, a JCC program funded by Partnership 2000, enables teens to explore their Jewish identity through exercises, leadership training and interaction with fellow teens in Israel.  The teens have been talking, emailing and sharing experiences with each other since October, 2004.

In this recession, many of us find ourselves in need of support- even those of us who never expected to need assistance. The Jewish community is here for you.  Following are free services Connect-to-Care can provide: 

Ø      Employment and career transition services, including job networking opportunities and career seminars;

Ø      Financial consultation, debt counseling, and budget assistance;

Ø      Legal services;

Ø      Supportive counseling and Jewish spiritual care

Join us for an opportunity to continue networking as you apply your skills and techniques learned from the five-part job search technique workshops.  This group is FREE and open to anyone who is currently in the job market or exploring new opportunities.

Daycare includes snack time, homework time, 1/2 day programs transportation to and from Plainview schools.
